• Momtik Camp is a volunteer program based in Thailand, dedicated to teaching English to local children while providing a unique cultural experience for volunteers.

3. What is the duration of the volunteer program?

• The minimum stay for volunteers is 1 week, but you are welcome to stay for as long as you’d like. We encourage flexibility to accommodate your preferences and schedule.

4. Do I need previous teaching experience to volunteer?

• No, previous teaching experience is not required. We welcome volunteers with varying levels of experience.

5. Are there any age restrictions for volunteers?

• Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Minors may join with written parental consent.

Cost and Accommodation

6. How much does it cost to volunteer at Momtik Camp?

• Volunteers are required to contribute 5,000 bahts per week to cover their stay, including accommodation and meals.

7. What is included in the volunteer program fee?

• The fee includes accommodation, three meals a day, transportation to and from the school, pick up and drop of from airport, and access to various activities and services. More details can be found in the “Join Us” section.

8. Where will I be staying during my volunteer program?

• Volunteers are accommodated in private rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom.

9. What types of activities are available during the program?

• Volunteers can participate in various activities, including Thai language classes, cooking classes, and excursions to local points of interest.

10. How do I pay the program fee?

• Payment details will be provided once your application is accepted.

Getting here and Safety

11. How do I get to Momtik Camp?

• We provide pick-up and drop-off services from Buriram airport and the cities of Mahasarakham and PayakhapumPisai.

12. Is Momtik Camp a safe place to volunteer?

• Yes, Thailand is a really safe country, which relies heavily on tourism and places a strong emphasis on visitor safety. Our camp is located in a peaceful, small village surrounded by families and farmers, creating a secure and welcoming environment for all our volunteers. Your safety and well-being are of utmost importance to us, and we take every measure to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience during your stay.
