About Us
MomtikCamp was born in the year 2000 through the unwavering dedication of Prapakorn Kutchaikul, affectionately known as “Momtik.” With several years of experience as an English teacher and as the head of the English department at Nachueak Pittayasan Secondary School, her mission has always been clear: to empower local children with English language skills.
Born in 1958 in Ban Hua Chang, Mahasarakham Province, Thailand, Momtik majored in English at Mahasarakham University, setting the stage for her illustrious career. Her 39-year commitment to education and her passion for the community led her to establish MomtikCamp in 2000. Collaborating with volunteers from around the world, she envisioned a brighter future for the children in her community.
Participating in MomtikCamp is a unique experience, where you not only make a difference in the lives of local children but also have the privilege of getting to know Mom Tik. She is a remarkable individual, known for her ability to create a positive and welcoming environment.
Mom Tik’s initial outreach to NGOs to introduce foreign presence at NaChuak Pittayasan Secondary School marked the beginning of an inspiring journey. The success of the project was two-fold: it transformed English education into an exciting experience for her students while providing volunteers with a deeply rewarding opportunity.
Mom Tik’s selflessness and dedication extend beyond her role as an educator. Her tireless commitment to her family and the community is a testament to her character. She is always ready to help, even when her sons visit, and her schedule is full with school activities.
